In the Japanese philosophy of Godai, void is the fifth element representing things beyond, yet somehow within, our everyday comprehension. It is the space or emptiness in which things can manifest.

Æther, when applied to our discipline, is the potential of thoughtfully designed space to enhance the experience of the inhabitant through the richness found in both the place and the moment in which we exist. Our task, and ongoing work, is to manifest this through our practice.
